lead-free NiGe electronic solder with 3 % silver and increased germanium content (1000 ppm) for wave soldering processes in electronic assembly production
The oxide-reducing effect of germanium in the FELDER NiGe solders is also associated with a consumption of this element in the soldering process. The ideal Ge content in the solder bath should be between 0.008 % and 0.015 %. This consumption can be equalised by adding Ge concentrate. With a germanium content of 0.1 %, ISO-Tin® “Sn96Ag+ High Ge” makes the manual addition of germanium concentrate redundant and ensures a constant germanium content in the solder bath.
