Sustainability is an opportunity, not a burden.
The metal industry plays an important role in reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting sustainability. This primarily involves reducing waste and emissions, optimizing production processes, using energy-efficient technologies, and utilizing renewable energy. By implementing these measures, companies such as FELDER GMBH can significantly reduce theircarbon footprint and make a valuable contribution to climate protection.

In Germany, primary production of the metal “tin”—which is used primarily for solders in the electrical and electronics sectors, as well as for the manufacture of tinplate and tin-based chemicals—has not taken place for quite some time. In secondary tin recovery, scrap and virgin metals—including those from solder production—are recovered and reintroduced into the economic cycle as new products.
FELDER GMBH Recycling, located in Loffenau, Baden-Württemberg, specializes exclusively in the recycling of tin-based solder waste and has been certified as a specialized waste management company since June 2000.
We are particularly proud to be among the top three companies in Germany in terms of the use of recycled raw materials for the metal “tin.” This finding comes from the German Raw Materials Agency (DERA), which conducted a study examining the “status quo” of recycling in metal production and processing in Germany.
ECO TIN
Solder for the Most Demanding Applications
Certain applications place very high demands on the purity of solders. Only tin from the first melt or tin from electroplating processes can meet these requirements.
We source our purest tin from sustainable and reliable mining regions in Peru or from European sources, where it is extracted using electroplating processes. We guarantee that the tin used in our solders comes exclusively from mines approved under the “Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).”
Environmental Protection
Certified Environmental Management System in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001
We are committed to the responsible use of natural resources. Through our DIN EN ISO 14001 certification, we regularly provide official proof of our active commitment to the environment and nature.
We consider it our responsibility to use the resources at our disposal sparingly and carefully. For this reason, FELDER GMBH adheres to its defined “Principles of Environmental Protection.” We are convinced that sustainable development for the benefit of all employees, customers, and partners can only succeed if it is integrated throughout all areas of the company.
Exceptional quality for the highest standards
We want only the best for our customers. That is why we place great emphasis on consistently high quality. We have this commitment officially verified on a regular basis by DEKRA through certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
