ECO TIN: Quality, Variety, and Sustainability
FELDER GMBH’s ECO TIN soft solders consist of virgin metals (primary tin) and are used primarily in the electronics industry. ECO TIN products are available as solid or flux-filled solder wires, as well as solder rods and ingots. Our wide range offers a variety of different alloys, diameters, and weight classes in this area as well. Of course, all ECO TIN products are lead-free and meet the highest quality standards. We guarantee that the tin used in our solders comes exclusively from certified mines in accordance with the “Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).”
Customers with specific purity requirements (particularly low Pb levels— <, 50 ppm) or who require European-sourced materials will receive solders made from electrolytically refined tin sourced from European suppliers.
What does ECO TIN mean?
ECO TIN stands for responsible and fair metal management.
For many years now, we have made it a priority to source our tin primarily from producers who are committed to both good working conditions for their employees and environmental protection in the mining areas. For this reason, in 2019 we decided to enter into a close partnership with the Peruvian company MINSUR. MINSUR bases its corporate philosophy on transparency and is committed to environmental protection, workplace safety, and fair working conditions.
ECO TIN refers to the extraction of raw materials and, at the same time, enables:

FELDER Recycling
When it comes to the metal “tin,” FELDER GMBH ranks among the top three companies in Germany in terms of the use of recycled raw materials.
Our facility in Loffenau, Baden-Württemberg, focuses exclusively on the recycling of tin-based solder waste and has been certified as a specialized waste management facility since June 2000.
